Sandro Tonali, A Reminder that this world is not fair. And it’s OK

Well, unless you’re a football fan (soccer for uneducated US citizen) you probably didn’t know who is Sandro Tonali. To make it short, he is an Italian national team player, ex-AC Milan player who is now play for Newcastle United. His transfer from AC Milan is very controversial for Milanisty (AC Milan fan) because no one expecting this.

Context, Sandro Tonali is (or maybe will) always be AC Milan fan, even from early days. He wants to be AC Milan. And when AC Milan is in crisis (financially, reputably and even in performance), he is willing to join AC Milan, even when his salary is cut. His times in Milan is really exceptional. His performance is consistent, his loyalty is admirable and he is fan favorite. Almost everyone expecting he will be the next Maldini, a legend in Milan. He is a successor to Andrea Pirlo and a very good midfielder.

But after some turmoil in Milan, begin with the dismissal of Maldini from Milan board, a sign that some drastic changes will come, suddenly Tonali was sold to Newcastle for a high price. Milan sold their crown jewel, one of the best talent and future star.

Can you understand the pain and hurt he felt? He was in seven heaven since he join AC Milan, he give everything, his pride and joy, even shares his guilt and loss with AC Milan. If this is the old Milan who place their player as family, this won’t happen (context this is the club that retired number 6 reserved for their very own legend only Franco Baressi, and most of their retired player became staff, member or still joining the team in the background), but since football now is such an industry, money came first.

Thus, Tonali leaves Milan with a heartbreaking farewell and even still hope that someday he could came home to Milan. Me, as fan, wonder about the future of Milan, hopefully this new bold and aggressive will bring good things in the future. Sure money from Tonali making Milan can buy more player (and they actually did) but people seems to forget that there are an era where Milan I financed by Chinese promotor, bought many player (almost 11 new player) and the result…well the era will be remembered as Milan banter era ha ha.

Then again, we never know what the future holds or what the future will be, but hopefully Milan will be a better club because of Tonali (he really takes one for the team) and someday he will return to Milan again when Milan has restored it’s former glory and beyond. Seriously, this story is a reminder that the world is not fair. Just because you treat wild animal with respect and care, it doesn’t mean that they will treat you the same. It is a savage and wild world, and the world is never fair. We have to deal with this.

Maybe just like the old saying, when the storm is coming, we have to learn to dance in the rain rather than sulking in the corner and cry about it. Once again, it’s true that sometimes the card that was dealt for us isn’t a good card, but to fold or to carryon in the game is ours to decide. Or in the life and death situation, you can fight or flight, even in scenario where we have no choice but fight, I’d rather fight with everything that I have and got beaten or killed rather that wishing what I could have and still beaten or killed ha ha, I mean we fight with everything we have not with thing we wish we have.

The world is unfair, but only f we see from only our point of view. Like we seeing a “priviledge” kid get success and we just dismissed his effort to achieve that position. Sure he have all the resources, but if the kid didn’t do $hit, it’s probably failure just like the rest of us. If the kid succeeded, it is to be expected and if the kid failed, the mockery is multiplied. So yeahm each and every one of us carry a different burden, fight a different war, so just focus on things that we can cantrol, handle or anticipate rather than things we can not control. Sure the outcome can not be predicted, but our response to it needed to be controlled, like hope for the best while prepared for the worst, or in Islam, try your hardest and leave the rest to Allah for he know what it is best for us.

Once again, all the best of wishes for Tonali, hopefully your sacrifice will be for the better (for AC Milan and his personal career) and one day you can return to AC Milan again. His debut in Newcastle is magnificent, hopefully he became a legend wherever he decided to play and hopefully one day he could return to Milan. Thanks for everything Sandro, all the best wishes for you, Kudos.
